Start without a preliminary project
The WiBA checklists are cut so they can be answered without a structure analysis or protection-requirement assessment. Getting started costs weeks instead of months.
Get started without setting up a project first
IT-Grundschutz is the recognized route to appropriate information security, and for many organizations at the same time the reason never to start: structure analysis, protection-requirement assessment, modelling, that is a project before the project. This is exactly why the BSI created the path to basic protection, explicitly with public administration in mind. 19 checklists, 258 questions, answerable from day-to-day operations. The module guides you through them, records fulfilment status, notes and history, estimates effort and hands open points to owners. And because the BSI supplies an official mapping to the IT-Grundschutz profile, every answer already counts towards the later path.
The WiBA checklists are cut so they can be answered without a structure analysis or protection-requirement assessment. Getting started costs weeks instead of months.
The official BSI mapping links every question to the requirements of the IT-Grundschutz profile. Anyone moving on to basic protection later does not start from zero.
The mapping works at fragment level: where WiBA covers a requirement only partly, the module records it as partly implemented. So the statement of applicability carries no tick that fails in an audit.
Open requirements get an effort estimate and an owner instead of sitting in a list.
An entry point achievable in weeks that still pays into IT-Grundschutz.
