Four minutes, six solutions
On 8 September we will be at DIGITAL X in Cologne, in the Startup Harbour along the Rhine promenade. Three times a day there is business speed dating: six solutions in thirty minutes, four minutes per provider, no registration. What we show in those four minutes.
We announced the date in late August. By now it is clear where exactly to find us and when it is most worth dropping by.
Startup Harbour, not the main hall
We will be in the Startup Harbour along the Rhine promenade, the area where around thirty B2B startups with ready-to-use solutions in AI, cloud and security stand together. It is the part of DIGITAL X where you get into a technical conversation without passing a reception desk first.
Each startup gets two by two metres. That sounds small and is exactly right: it fits one screen, and two people fit in front of it. An honest conversation about a management system needs no more.
Four minutes, three times a day
The format most worth the walk is business speed dating, running at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00. Six solutions in thirty minutes, four minutes per provider, no registration. You sit down and leave with six answers to the same question.
Four minutes are too short to demonstrate seventy modules. They are enough for the one question that matters here: what does a register look like that serves information security, data protection and IT operations at the same time, without being maintained three times over?
That is not rhetorical. Anyone running an IT system across three tools maintains it wrongly twice as soon as something changes. Whether an ISMS still holds after a year depends on exactly that.
The frame around it
On 8 September DIGITAL X fills Cologne's Rheinauhafen, entrance at the Chocolate Museum: more than 5,000 guests, two stages, more than forty speakers and over a hundred and twenty masterclasses. Doors open at 9:00, the day programme runs until 18:00, after which the Kölsche Nacht begins. The motto is “Navigate What's Next”.
Speakers that day include Angela Merkel, Yuval Noah Harari, Robert Habeck, Markus Söder and Hendrik Wüst. We are not on a stage. We are at a table where you can ask the questions that do not fit on one.
Who you will meet
All three founders are at the stand, each with their own perspective: information security, data protection and IT management. That is not a scheduling coincidence but the division the product grew out of.
